What is the Cyber Drill?

The National Cyber Drill is a one-day, online interactive event on October 30, where Canadians from all categories like kids, youth, seniors, SMBs, enterprises, and everyday Canadians can test and improve their cybersecurity awareness through scenario-based challenges.

Everyone. We have tailored content for 6 key audiences:

  • Kids
  • Youth
  • Senior Citizens
  • Small-Medium Businesses
  • Enterprises
  • Everyday Canadians

When registering, you’ll choose the category that best fits you or your organization.

Visit ReadySetCyber.ca, select your category, and complete the registration form. On October 30, you’ll receive access to the drill based on your chosen group.

Yes! Participation in the CyberDrill is completely free for individuals, families, and businesses. Our goal is to make cybersecurity education accessible to all Canadians.

Participants will receive a customized digital certificate of participation, along with access to educational resources and tips.

We offer three levels of sponsorship:

  • Community Champion – For local changemakers and grassroots supporters helping build safer digital habits from the ground up.
  • Cyber Advocate – For regional leaders and tech-forward organizations ready to play a visible role in shaping cyber resilience.
  • Digital Defender – For national brands and cybersecurity trailblazers committed to leading the charge in digital safety across Canada.

Interested organizations can fill out the sponsor form on our site to learn more.

Absolutely! We welcome registrations from schools, nonprofits, youth groups, and senior centres. Group organizers can reach out to us directly for special onboarding support.

Even if you’re not sponsoring, you can support by spreading the word, volunteering, or offering in-kind services such as media coverage, translations, or community outreach. Share your digital badge to show your initiative! Contact us to explore how you can contribute.
